Description
ORDER the PATTERN for my inspired by “Glinda the Good” bubble dress — a 15 paneled skirt with curls and swirls and a unique bodice design.
Patterns will have markings for how and were to fold and curl the panels and the boning placement (plus all the regular markings!)
Can be purchased as a scaled version (perfect for helping to pattern a doll version or if you wish to save all the printing up and taping together of paper.) See details below.
Regular, To Scale, PDF Pattern:
- One size patterns: Bust 34″, Waist 26″, Waist to Floor 42″
- The pattern is not finalized! These photos are of the pattern cut in crinoline net. (And the pink is the a 1/2 scale draft.) Follow along my YouTube channel for making of details.
- Skill level required: INTERMEDIATE (must be able to make pattern adjustments and use intermediate techniques.)
- What’s included — PDF ONE SIZE pattern, with minimal written instructions.
- PDF patterns are placed on US Letter (594 pages), A4 (551 pages), and A0 (28 pages — will come in PDF & JPG). Would recommend using the A0 print set up and use a printing service!
- Plus you’ll get access to the scaled version.
Scaled Version:
You will NOT receive the full scale pattern ready for printing. This will be a scaled (1 to 8) pattern on a graph. (This is scaled in a similar fashion as Janet Arnold’s books.)
- 16 page PDF & JPEG with scaled pattern — in US Letter with imperial graph and A4 with metric graph.
- You will also receive the instructions.
Not associated with Universal Pictures, all original design aspects are credited to Paul Tazewell. These patterns are Bella Mae’s Designs interpretations of the original designs and not exact replicas.
Materials Needed:
These are approximate numbers, since the dress isn’t finished yet I don’t know the exact materials.
- 22 yds hard crinoline net/mesh
- 30 yds silk organza
- 137 yds clear flat 2mm boning
