The Spider-Mae Dress is a downloadable PDF sewing pattern for creating a bold, Spider-Man inspired dress for prom, cosplay, or other special events.
PRE-ORDER the Multi-Size Pattern — pattern will be released on September 29th 2026 before midnight (CT). Once release, email with download links will be sent. (Original One-Size pattern will be available upon purchase.)
The PDF Download includes pattern pieces for both the red under-dress and blue outer-dress, plus guidance for creating the web design across the front, neck, shoulders, and back.
This dress was designed by Bella Mae, inspired by the Marvel Character Spider-Man — it’s a part of the “Fiction to Fashion” red carpet series.
- Underdress is a stunning stand-alone dress, being bias cut with 4 main body/skirt pieces, 1 front top section, and 12 godets through the skirt. Four of the godets are made of sheer Chiffon, creating a lovely texture variation — especially noticeable when twirling!
- Outer dress is a structured piece and is made to be removable (hooks and eyes attach the front to the red underdress.) Starting at the front, the bodice wraps around waist and across arms, to back. Center back is only sewn along lower back and waist, leaving the skirt split to reveal the red under dress.
